Autographs
An autograph is a document written entirely in the handwriting of its author, as opposed to a typeset document or one transcribed by an amanuensis or a copyist; the meaning overlaps with that of the word holograph.
Autograph also refers to a person's signature. This term is used in particular for the practice of collecting autographs of celebrities. The hobby of collecting autographs is known as philography.

Sign in PleaseReviewsI bought this album (as a cassette) after seeing the band's "Turn up the Radio" video on MTv and it quickly became on of my all time favorites. The songs on this album are all excellent. Most have great lyrics, catchy hooks, and choruses. The production is top notch. If only Warrant hadn't killed 80's metal *lol. Seriously, check out "My girlfriends boyfriend isn't me." This has to be one of the best rock songs ever. I have fond memories of jamming "Turn up the Radio" with my friends. Such awesomeness should be enjoyed by all. Buy this album now, and let's hope for Re-union tour! Great Album to have of The 80's rock scene. Starts off with "Send Her to Me" nice hook and beat, then the Awesome Anthem "Turn Up the Radio", and this album keeps rocking to the end with a bonus remix of "Turn Up the Radio". Loaded with catchy hooks and great musicianship, a quality remaster and nice insert booklet with pics and notes on bands history. Great Value. This album actually set the bar for what was to come from bands like Poison, Warrant, Dokken, Kix, etc. The party-glam-rock-image with great guitar had really yet to be perfected and mass produced until Autograph did it. You could argue that Van Halen was the first, but Autograph pushed the bar further. Plus, this disc contains songs that have stood the test of time with "Turn Up the Radio" still being played on classic rock stations til this day. If radio gurus would have delved a little deeper, they would have found 3-4 more hits on this cd as well. A must have if you listen to this kind of rock. I bought this album a while back because Turn up the Radio is a great 80's anthem and I figured there should be other great songs on the record. I listened to the first 2 songs "Send Her to Me" and "Turn Up the Radio" and I was blown away! All of a sudden the keyboards started! I thought I was listening to a Europe album! Keyboards have no place in hard rock/heavy metal unless it is a ballad. If Autograph lost their keyboard player they would've been a better band! As long there is a keyboardist, Autograph should not be named as a band in hard rock! They should tour with Journey and REO Speedwagon not Ratt, Whitesnake and other band of that genre! Why is everyone down-casting Autograph so much. They are a very talented band. Their style is their own. There ain't nothing wrong with the mix. It sounds great from first song to last. And don't even come close to sounding like Def Leppard. I highly recommend it to anyone that's in 80's pop/metal, as it's so called today. Autograph don't listen to this people. They no not what they talking about. You guys just keep doing what you do best, rockin'. From a fan that will stand with you. FS. Average Rating:![]() |

That's The StuffReviewsThis is my favorite Autograpth album "That's The Stuff." It's about time that ALL the original songs are in the CD like "Six String Fever" which RCA removed on the second re-released CD (Blue Cover) and replaced it with "We're An American Band." I'm glad that they added "We're An American Band" as an extra track on this forth (2009) re-released CD. They should've done that when they re-released the third CD (Red Cover) on the Splitfire label. I have the Original RCA Red Cover CD with track 6 "Six String Fever" which I bought over 10 years ago in Guam for only $6.99 (BRAND NEW). With the 2009 re-released Digitally Remastered CD, the CD sound AWESOME!! Highly Recommended!! Average Rating:![]() |

Digitally remastered edition of the L.A. Metal band's 1985 sophomore release. Amazingly, when the album was released its cover had to be changed due to bungled copyright issues. And if that wasn't enough, in order to combat the appearance of Russian band Avtograf (pronounced Autograph), RCA thought it might be a good idea for Autograph to record a cover of Grand Funk Railroads classic 'Were An American Band', adding it to the record half way through the campaign... |

Mob RulesReviewsThe cover art on this cd is quite creepy and Black Sabbath's 'demon' logo is a bit similar to Led Zeppelin's 'angel' artwork. Even though I like this album more that Dio's first foray with Black Sabbath, a stumbling block for me embracing him is his similarity, vocally, to family friendly Australian pop/rock singer John Farnham! Anyway, on first listen I was inclined to give this album 77.5/100, roughly, but maybe it deserves to get around 85/100...which would put it roughly equal third with my third favourite Sabbath album, Ozzy's "Master of reality"...behind Paranoid and Sabotage (but having recently listened to "Never say die!", that album may just sneak into 3rd spot for me). Best song: Country girl - has a catchy riff, not too far from "Iron man", off of "Paranoid". Dio's vocals harmonise with the riff. This song should have made their 2cd "Best of", I think. Next best songs: Falling off the edge of the world - I'm assuming that this is my pick as the next best song...not sure if I put a dot next to this song because it's not bad, or if the dot was just some speck of dirt or something...been a while since I listened to this album in any case. Song has a moody, broody intro, bassy strings and maybe a synth violin effect. Also has a nice change in mood...sort of like Judy Garland joining the band or something (hmm...note to self: make sure comments written at the time will make sense when read months later!). Dio's vocals remind me of John Farnham and Freddie Mercury in this song. The rock part of this song reminds me of Metallica's classic song "Fade to black". Maybe Metallica were aware of this song? The mob rules - might have taken until the second listen to rate this song higher. Has a party rock sound with grinding guitars. A bit of this song is similar to Guns'n'Roses' song "Welcome to the jungle". Song has a message about the consequences of listening to fools. Best of the rest (on second listen): Turn up the night - has a contemporary, mainstream metal vibe to it. Sing-song vocal melody is catchy. Lots of flickering/wow-wow lead guitar work and solos etc. The sign - pleasant intro of accoustic, steel string guitar and a breathy voice. Song then goes into "Iron man" territory, riff wise, with an occasional doomy riff. E5150 - Instrumental. REALLY low and heavy bass synth notes. Sort of whale song noises and "Close encounters of the 3rd kind" UFO noises. Outro is a bit in the Jean Michel Jarre mould. The rest: Voodoo - a bluesy riff to strut to. Bassy, with a growling vocal style. Song/riff is very much in the 1980s mould. You can just imagine the cheesy video to accompany this song! Slipping away - grindy guitars. Intro a bit like Van Halen's take on "You really got me" (originally by The Kinks). A bassy track with some super heavy bass too. Track has a bit of a Led Zeppelin vibe to it, as well as Dire Straits' "Industrial disease" (in the latter song's case, that should really be 'vice versa'. Over and over - a melancholy sounding track with lots of bluesy lead guitar solos. Bassy. Perhaps the most John Farnham sounding song on the album! Black Sabbath recommendations: If you haven't explored this band I'd say check out their first three albums... Black Sabbath - my least favourite Sabbath album...quite heavy folk rock in style. Is regarded my many as the birth of heavy metal. Critics also regard it as a classic album. They never did an album like this ever again. Paranoid - my pick as their masterpiece. Has their most memorable and accessible songs. They never did an album like this ever again. Master of reality - their 3rd best album, in my view. Their 3rd album, which set the template for all their subsequent albums until "Technical ecstasy" moved the band into another direction (i.e. more 'feel good' rock/light metal type stuff). If you like this album, all their albums up to and including "Sabotage" are consistent in quality. "Sabotage" is my 2nd favourite Sabbath album. If you like "Mob rules", you might enjoy Ozzy's last two albums "Technical ecstasy" and "Never say die!" (and vice versa). Their last one actually may be my new 3rd favourite Sabbath album...has some really accessible songs on it...songs deserving of radio airplay. I've been a fan of Black Sabbath since I was a kid and a Dio fan when I was a young teen. Dio with Sabbath though??? I wasn't sure on what to think until I heard the title track...This album doesn't sound like it should be the age that it is. It's a different sound since the Ozzy days, but still that shouldn't make you like it any less. The music is heavy, the lyrics amazing...I wished that I had bought this years ago. If you're a fan of either Sabbath or Dio, you won't be disappointed. I compared this rhino version of Mob Rules to my 1996 U.K. Castle remaster version and the Castle one sounds a little better because it's not over compressed and limited, to the point of sounding almost distorted. The bass sounds more natural, it seems to breathe a bit better than Rhino. The Rhino artwork and notes are incomplet compared to the Castle one. The second album with Ronnie James Dio was yet another crushing album from the resurrected Black Sabbath! After 2 poor albums with Ozzy (Technical Ecstasy and Never Say Die) Black Sabbath was brought back to life for the near perfect "Heaven & Hell" album in 1980. Although I am in the minority, I actually prefer Dio over Ozzy in Black Sabbath. The way Dio sings OVER the music rather than along with the music (as Ozzy does) just makes Tony Iommi's riffs that much stronger and they stand out even more. I am also in the minority in saying that "Mob Rules" is better than "Heaven & Hell" from start to finish. When I first heard this album back in 1990, it quickly became one of my favorite albums of all time! The album starts off with the underrated fast track of "Turn Up the Night" which is one of the heaviest songs ever written. The song is on par with "Neon Night" as far as album openers are concerned. The song is full of bass from Geezer and heavy on the riffs. Next up is "Voodoo" which is a heavy mid paced song that is very catchy and Dio's vocals are very haunting. Great follow up as the second track. "Sign of the Southern Cross" is the albums centerpiece so to speak. This song is filled with dramatic twists and turns and is the longest track on the album and very heavy on the doom side. E5150 is ok as an intro but really is just a filler track. "Mob Rules" is up next and this of course is a fast heavy sing-a-long song. Simple but very catchy. "Country Girl" is a mid-paced track with a very memorable riff that gets stuck in your head easily. This has a great mid section that is soft and eerie before kicking into a great Iommi solo. "Slipping Away" sounds like it could have easily been on "Heaven & Hell" with a melodic chorus and Dio's singing is once again incredible on this track. "Falling Off the Edge of the World" is probably one of my favorite songs of all time. This song is very climatic like "Stairway to Heaven" as the song just builds and builds and explodes. Tony's solo is just amazing in this song and probably some of my favorite bass work. Just an incredible and huge song. The album closes with the weakest song titled "Over and Over" which is a slow paced song. I think they should have had this album end with "Falling off the Edge..." but still a solid Sabbath song. If you have any doubts about this album, just pick it up and give it a spin. I cannot see how anyone would be let down by this masterpiece! Buy this album. You're music collection will thank you and will no longer weep late at night wondering why you don't like it and won't buy Mob Rules. Average Rating:![]() |

The Godfather Collection: 25th Anniversary [VHS]ReviewsThis trilogy is by far the most excilerating ever. It tells the story of the rise and fall of the Corleone crime family. Although this is a fictional story, It is one of the best stories that portrays the acts of a real Mafia family. After Vito Corleone(Michael's father) dies, it is up to Michael to take up the family business. Michael finds himself turning into one of the most feared gangters of his time. Watch this action packed film with plenty of mind blowing suprises. It is an all around great trilogy staring;Al Pacino,Marlin Brando,Robert Deniro and other great actors. Incredible saga from start to finish. From the rise of Vito Corleone (Robert De Niro as young Vito, Marlon Brando as old Vito), to the rise and devastating fall of Michael (Hauntingly played by Al Pacino),The Godfather Trilogy is incredible (Even the last one, with the badly miscast Sofia Coppola). The Corleones are the ultimate anti-heroes: you want to root for them to bump off their enemies, and yet, they are also the bad guys. You even root for Sonny (Wickedly played by James Caan), when he beats up his abusive brother-in-law. They also suffer from betrayal from within the family: Fredo (Wonderfully acted by the late John Cazale), betrays his brother Michael just so he could have a little something for himself. Michael's reaction to Fredo's betrayal is heartbreaking. It's too bad that this is not delved more deeply in the final chapter instead of putting in plots that go nowhere (The fling between Bridget Fonda and Andy Garcia simply goes nowhere at all). All in all, the trilogy deals with loss: From the loss of Vito's family, to the loss of Michael's soul when he takes over the family business. This film is a must have in your collection. You won't find this version of the classic Godfather Trilogy anywhere else! This exclusive version tells the story of the Godfather (Parts I, II and III) specially edited into a single movie in chronological order by Francis Coppola himself with additional scenes and footage not in the theatrical releases and not in any other release currently available. It also includes a bonus "behind-the-scenes" video and booklet and comes in a black collector's box. Over 9 hours of video! The best of the best! This movie was unforgettable. The saga version is the most memorable for me because it combined the entire story the way the director would have done if he could have predicted its success. Too bad it is no longer available for future generations to enjoy... My favorite movie ever. Copolla made the almost impossible. A sequel even better than the original. De Niro is terrific!
